The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has set up a stall at the ongoing 26th edition of the Hornbill Festival 2025 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.

Various products, including pamphlets on different schemes, have been made available at the stall.

Since its inception in 1982, NABARD has remained steadfast in its commitment to fostering rural prosperity and inclusive development across the country, the bank noted.

In Nagaland, the NABARD has a regional office in Dimapur along with district development officers in Kohima, Mokokchung, Phek, and Kiphire.

Beyond augmenting credit flow to agriculture and priority sectors and financing state government rural infrastructure projects, NABARD implements a wide array of promotional and developmental programmes benefiting the rural populace of Nagaland.

“Through our participative approach, we work closely with stakeholders to address the evolving needs of Nagaland’s rural communities and drive transformative change,” NABARD stated in its pamphlet.

“Our core objective in Nagaland is holistic development, which guides all our business activities in the State,” it stated.

The business of the RO reached an all-time high of Rs. 92.53 crore this year, demonstrating a robust year-on-year growth of 24.39% compared to Rs. 74.44 crore in the previous year.

As per NABARD, this significant financial milestone is a direct reflection of its strategic initiatives and the effective implementation of development-focused projects.

This growth reflects NABARD’s commitment to sustainable progress in Nagaland, boosting employment, infrastructure, and livelihoods, and underscoring its role as a catalyst for positive change, it held.
