IAS motivation factor to serve government, people

DIMAPUR, May 30 (MExN): The Rotomi village organized a thanks-giving service on May 29 in commemoration of Kikheto Y. Sema, additional secretary of Finance department, on being conferred as IAS recently. Kikheto is the first person from the Rotomi village to be designated as an IAS officer.
The recently conferred IAS cadre at the thanksgiving service said that the high-status tile conferred to him has made him more humble and enthusiastic to serve the government and the people. He also said that the IAS title to him also meant “Ino Alhou Shikimithi (IAS)” which, when interpreted from Sumi to English reads “I thank God.”
Taking the opportunity, he encouraged the youngsters present, stating that their hard work would not go hopeless if combined with sincerity and faith in God and said:  “When it is dark, you see the star.” He also added that he remembers how he struggled when he was a student.
He also remembered his parents and said that his achievement is because of their prayers. In relation to that, he advised the parents to pray continuously for their children’s successful future.
Encouraging further, Kikheto said more people will be getting such esteemed titles and that it is not the end.
Moreover, he called upon the residents of Atoizu area to unite and work for the development of the society. Kikheto also requested prayer support and blessings of the people so that God’s guidance would be there when he continues to serve people and the government.
GBs, church leaders, elders and well wishers from neighbouring villages also spoke on the occasion. Director of SBC, Rev Dr. Hevukhu Achumi was the speaker at the thanksgiving programme.
