Today’s world is filled with so much evil, hatred and bitterness against one another that the common man has lost their moral sense of duty and also love for one another. Man in his search for his happiness and freedom from all kinds of problems has somewhat forgotten that in our life’s journey one should be helpful kind and loving to our fellow creatures. It is only when we reach out to less fortunate and deprived people, it will bring us one step closer to God acquiring eternal happiness and peace of mind. There are times when people who come from different religions, social and economic background may need emotionally, spiritually, financially etc. Sometimes their belief, personality, character etc. may want us to disassociate with them. However we must understand that Christ came on this earth not for the good and holy people but for sinners. It does not mean that God does not love good people but that God loves them as much as sinners and that the Kingdom of God has already been entitled for them. So God wants everyone to gain eternal life so He sent His only son Jesus on this earth to save the millions of sinners so that they may gain heaven. So likewise it is also our duty to reach out to sinners, deplorable and the downtrodden bringing them closer to God through our acts of love, deeds and kindness. But it is indeed very sad to see that nowadays many people are only there to help those who already have more than enough and who are important social or political figures. Many people feel ashamed to help or mingle with the poor and downtrodden people because they think that it will tarnish their image. Due to the wrong thinking of many people so many innocent, poor and deplorable people are suffering.
There are many people who practice all sorts of evils like corruption, exploitation and wrong moral conducts. However evil the people may be, those who have power, money and hold important place in the society seem to be enjoying what life has to offer. It is indeed very sad to note that inspite of such kind of evils existing and which many people know having seen with their own eyes are happy to be dumb spectators as they feel that they will lose respect from important people. Many people want to gain respect from people who have power as they think that wealth can buy happiness. It is very common to see that poor persons who have committed a crime even though it may be very small one, will be punished and tortured mentally or emotionally to a great extent. During such time no person will come forward to help or show kindness as they want to gain favour and respect from such corrupted people. Due to this evil attitude by many the innocent, poor, and deplorable are suffering so much. Only few God fearing people come forward to help such kind of helpless people but the people of God too are harassed mentally and emotionally by the evi1 people. On the other hand when a rich person commits a grave crime he doesn’t have to undergo through many kinds of problems but instead is set free and enjoys all kinds of plivi1eges which are not meant for him. In fact many people come forward to help a wealthy person when he or she is in trouble with the view and aim to gain financial help and be recognized in the society.
There are also many people who say that they are God fearing and humble. As a Christian we should practice forgiveness and have compassion for one another. When Jesus was on the cross he forgave those who persecuted Him and in doing this He set an example for us to follow. For Jesus said that if we do not forgive one another we cannot expect God to forgive our sins. We are all sinners and need the forgiveness of God; hence we should have forgiveness and compassion for one another if we wish to be forgiven by God and be blessed by Him. In our state, it is seen that many responsible people of important offices are not doing rightful duty. For example there is no proper electricity, water etc in remote as well as urban areas. due to lack of honesty and good moral character, people who are supposed to be working for the upliftment of the common people are just staying idle.
Also some wicked people for their own selfish aims, extract lot of money from the public by mismanagement and disrupting the proper function and machinery of the government. Due to the presence of such evil people the poor people have to face problems like paying huge amount of electricity bills but are sometimes charged with the theft and illegal use of power even though they may be using the electricity legally according to the government rules. In such cases, some evil person meddle with the meter box and thus put house owner in a position when he or she is charged with theft and have to pay huge amount of fine inspite of being good citizen and abiding by the law.
The rich and responsible persons are blind to the suffering of the public because they have all the facilities like inverters, generators, electronic machines and various other luxuries that one can expect for comfortable life so hence they are not bothered about the problems that are present. Some govt. officials inspite of extracting huge amount from the public, the govt. hardly takes any action against them. They may have heard and seen in the newspaper many articles regarding negligencies of the govt. officials but it is very sad to see that little is done to do away with the evil. In fact the govt. officials give lame excuses for various economic social crises which arises due to their dishonesty in their duty. But the poor and common people are not fools so as to believe everything that they say. The corrupted people should understand that there is God who sees everything and if they continue to live an evil life by cheating and bringing pain and suffering upon the innocent their life will be cut short and there will be untold misery and sufferings for them. In fact, it is very sad that very few people practice what they preach.
Many servants of God who are supposed to be an example by helping and reaching out to sinners specially the underprivileged and lowly people are taking the wrong path by living a life only in words and not in deeds. Such people are there only for the material wealth and respect of the people in general only by their outward appearances, thus cheating the people and leading many astray from God. Due to this we can see many broken families, youths with low moral standards and elders who live their life not pleasing to God. If people continue to live their life only for their material gain and worldly happiness then in the coming years we will see many drug addicts dying before even reaching their adult life. Crimes, murders and all kinds of unheard evi1s which one can ever imagine. So it is high time we open our eyes and be aware of the sufferings around us and help those others around us in whatever way we can. If we say that we are Christians we should practice not only in words but also in deeds when we help our fellow brothers whatever or whoever they may be by our kindness deeds and encouraging them towards a holy life then we are only paving our way to heaven which means eternal happiness. Many youths nowadays indulge in sinful activities like consuming harmful substances like tablets, pan, ghuktas etc. which is harming their body as well as soul. However, it is seen that many parents and God fearing elders fail to give advice and just take it for granted. I as a Christian mother strongly feel that by not giving proper advice and guidance to the young ones we are in fact destroying our family and society.
In the Bible it is written that one should not consume substances which are harmful to the body as it is also a great sin. So it is also the part of responsible elders that they guide their younger ones according to the principles of Christian way of livnig and not just live Christian life in name. When we live a righteous life and guide the younger ones to follow a good Christian life we are only showing them the path to heaven but also creating and building responsible citizens of tomorrow. We should understand that when there are responsible persons in the society who live according to the Christian principles then we have a secure future where everyone will live together in peace and harmony.
As the various kinds of evi1 will be reduced greatly and people will not fear evil but fear only God. When there comes a time where the people fear God then they will fear to do any kind of deeds which is displeasing to God. As a Christian mother it is my desire and aim that every person love God with all their heart and fear Him as it is written in the Bible. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
