Man Four’s emerged as the champion of ‘Unplugged – Battle of the Bands’, organised by TQ Audio at T.T. Garden in Mokokchung.
Mokokchung, June 16 (MExN): Man Four’s emerged as the champion of ‘Unplugged – Battle of the Bands’, organised by TQ Audio at T.T. Garden in Mokokchung, winning a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a performance opportunity at an upcoming event of the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA).
The band impressed the judges with their original composition ‘Aoli Sanger’ alongside a cover song. The cash prize was sponsored by Vishal Agarwal, a travel agency entrepreneur and content creator.
Side Part from Kohima was adjudged the Most Promising Band, receiving Rs 5,000 sponsored by Temsujung Photography.
Individual excellence awards were also presented: Best Vocalist – Tiakumla (Schrödinger’s Cat); Best Guitarist – Maong (Man Four’s); Best Bassist – Anok (Schrödinger’s Cat); Best Percussionist – Wati Jamir (Jack in the Box); and Best Keyboardist – Imtimar Jamir (Jack in the Box).
The event featured seven bands performing a mix of original compositions and cover songs, drawing music enthusiasts and supporters from across the district. Organisers said the competition was aimed at providing a platform for emerging artists to express creativity and celebrate the growing culture of live music in Nagaland.
TQ Audio thanked all participating bands, sponsors, judges, volunteers, and audience members, with special appreciation extended to Vishal Agarwal and Temsujung Photography for their sponsorship and encouragement of young musicians.
