DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN): Corporal Kughato Sumi, bearing Naga Army no. 17245, son of Avito, hailing from Vishiyi Village, UT I, has been terminated from National service for breaching the ahza of the Nation. He has been absent from duty for a prolonged period of time without official leave. The termination order comes from the office of the commanding officer, Lt. Col. Kiyehe Yepthomi, Council Camp, GPRN/NSCN, informed a press note issued through MIP GPRN/NSCN.

DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN): GPRN/NSCN United Sangtam Region (USR) Chairman Sepikyu Sangtam has informed the general public and offices in six sub divisions under Kiphire district namely Longmatra Area, Sitimi Area, Seotsing Area, Amahator area, Longkhim area and Chare area, that all regional taxation must have the consent and approval of the Region Chairman. Relevant challans and other acknowledgment papers shall be issued to officials from the office of the Region Chairman. General public and offices under Kiphire District are requested to insist on official acknowledgment for any financial transaction. Awareness prog on opportunities in plastics industries
Kohima, May 17 (MExN): The Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology, Imphal under initiative from DoNER Ministry is conducting a one day awareness programme on “Opportunities in plastics industries for unemployed youths of North Eastern region for self employment” on May 18 at 10:30 AM at the Conference Hall of District Industries Centre (DIC) Office Kohima.
The main objective is to create awareness about the employment opportunities that will arise from Assam gas cracker project. Resource persons from different organization will deliver speech and faculty from CIPET Imphal will be having an interactive session with the participants.
Moreover, various career opportunities available in plastics field will also be delivered by faculty from CIPET. Er. Thekruneituo Kire, director, Directorate of Industries & Commerce will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): His Holiness Shri Jayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamiji would be visiting Dimapur on May 20 to perform a Vishwa Shanti Yagya at 9 a.m. at Durga Mandir Hall, Old Daily Market, Dimapur wherein Vedic scholars would participate. Swamiji would address an assembly of devotees at 6 p.m. Immediately after Vishwa Shanti Yagya in the morning; Swami Shankaracharya would lay the foundation stone of the construction of Hindu immersion ghat at Dimapru at Dhansiri River near new bridge.

CSU flays rape of minor girl
Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): The Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) has strongly condemned the heinous and barbaric act on April 20 incident at Phek Town where a minor girl of 4 years old LKG student was rape by one Ravohu alias Manau Singh, Manipur 60 yrs old police constable. A press release jointly issued by its president, Esther Rhakho and General Secretary, Kewelhilo Rabvo stated that in the present context the women has no place to move freely unless such anti-social element and activities had stop, it lauded the right thinking citizen to condemn such barbaric and uncivilized act, such person has no place to live in a civilized society and urge the concerned authority to award a befitting punishment at the earliest as per the nature of the law.
