Immanuel College condoles

Dimapur, April 17 (MExN): The management, staff and students of Immanuel College express heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members of Rajeev Kumar (Samuel), a student of the college, who passed away on April 16. A condolence note issued by the vice principal of Immanuel College stated: “We pray that his soul rest in peace, and May God grant strength and solace to the bereaved family members to bear with this loss.”

Cong workers resign

Dimapur, April 17 (MExN):The Congress (I) party workers from 56th A/C Noklak resigned from the party and joined NPF to strengthen the leadership of P. Longon, minister, NPF president Dr. Shurhozelie and chief minister Neiphiu Rio. The resigned leaders included; Sangchiu vice president ACC(I) 56th Noklak, L. Pio, vice president VCC Nokhu ‘A”, Lesop, VCC treasurer Nokhu ‘A”, Seamong VYC president Nokhu ‘A”, Tangsoi VCC secretary Nokhu ‘A”, Mechu, Nokhu ‘A” and Pashen VYC treasurer Nokhu. Meanwhile, the NPF 56th A/C Noklak expressed happiness to the leaders for taking such a “wise decision” and assured them to work unitedly in the service of the people. This was stated in a release issued by T.Thangpong, general secretary NPF 56th A/C Noklak.

Dimapur, April 17 (MExN): A landowner has complained to the Director General of Police that the police department has ‘failed to hear’ complaints over the ‘Sub jail Road’ inn Zunheboto and has threatened to sell it as ‘it is his private property.’ Appended as Vikato V Yeptho, a letter addressed to the DGP said that the former has approached the district administration and the police department over the condition of the road “with proper documents (photography etc) still no action seems to be taken up.” “Therefore as the road leading to Zunheboto sub jail is private property and I am the rightful legal owner I have decided to sell my land to the buyers who have approached me,” the letter stated. “I have decided to do so as I personally feel the government does not need a road leading to the sub-jail at Zunheboto,” he stated. “Therefore I shall not be held responsible in the event that leads to the sub jail having no road,” he added.
