NPF traditional CEC meeting on October 20

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has announced that a traditional Central Executive Council (CEC) Meeting will be held on October 20 at 3:00 p.m. at the NPF Central Office, near Hotel Japfü, Kohima. According to a notice issued by S. Akho Leyri, Vice President (Administration), NPF Central Headquarters, all Central Executive Council members, including Division Representatives, President’s Nominees, and Party MLAs, have been requested to attend the meeting. The notice stated that the meeting holds special significance as the Chief Minister will address the Traditional CEC Meeting for the first time in his capacity as the Leader of the NPF Legislature Party following the merger. 

GPRN/NSCN (U) condoles

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 19 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (Unification) has expressed sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of Surhotho Phoji, Kilonser. A condolence message issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity, GPRN/NSCN (U) stated that late Phoji’s remarkable journey in the Naga National Movement began in 1993. From the very outset, he distinguished himself as a devoted and steadfast national worker who served the Naga Nation with “unwavering sincerity, loyalty, and dedication” in various capacities. Throughout his career, Phoji exemplified the finest qualities of leadership, integrity, and patriotism, earning the admiration and respect of all who had the privilege to work alongside him, the message said. 

Western Sümi Hoho mourns

Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): The Western Sümi Hoho has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of its former Media Cell member, Late Benito Z. Swu, who passed away on the evening of October 18.  Late Benito served as a member of the Western Sümi Hoho Media Cell from 2019 to 2023, during which he rendered sincere service with dedication, humility, and commitment. The Hoho stated that his “valuable contributions and cheerful disposition will always be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of working with him.” The Western Sümi Hoho conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and loved ones, praying that “the Almighty grants them strength, comfort and peace, and that the departed soul finds eternal rest.”
