Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union Dimapur has affirmed that it supports the press statement given by NCSU Kohima on June 10, for demanding abeyance of tender in various GHS under RMSA.
“It is unfair to a single contractor or firm to carry out all works,” lamented the union in a rejoinder issued by its secretary of Action Committee M Tetseo and convenor of Action Committee Vikato Zhimomi .
The union has requested the minister for Education & SCERT to bring out for “opportunity of the local registered contractors under the district wise unit of NCSU by breaking up the tender of GHS-wise”.
It also stated in the note that it supports the previous press release issued by the head office vide Ref.No.NCSU.GS-02-2011 Dated 06-06-2011.
Moreover, in a separate note, the union’s president W Khape and press secretary Benjamin Chishi stated that the departments under its district are requested to extend their cooperation towards its Action Committee members during their visit in order to maintain transparency and better working atmosphere. “In the event of misuse of govt. guidelines, under table tender and allotting works & supply works to unregistered contractors the union shall not remain silent.”
