NE chopper mishaps: DoNER meet

Dimapur, May 11 (MExN): The Development of North East Region ministry met on May 10 to discuss issues related with the recent Pawan Hans Helicopter crash in Arunachal Pradesh. The minister of DoNER chaired the meeting, at his chamber in Vigyan Bhavan, said a note from the minister’s office.
It was decided that Alliance Air would be asked to fly more flights to Lilabari, both daily and regular flights. Also, the DGCA will conduct detailed inspection of all critical airports/airfields and helipads within 4 weeks. The DGCA will also complete Security Audit of all helicopters/aircrafts of all operators and prepare a detailed Action Plan within 4 weeks.
“Ministry of Civil Aviation is causing a detailed study for complimentary routes between fixed wing and copter operations within 15 days,” the DoNER ministry’s office stated. In a another matter, The Minister for DoNER has congratulated Mary Kom on her winning the Asian Women's Boxing Championship in China.
