Maligaon, October 10 (MExN): To ensure smooth and safe train operations during the upcoming foggy season, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to cancel and reduce the frequency of selected trains during the period from December 1, 2025 to March 3, 2026. These proactive measures aim to maintain safety, punctuality and operational efficiency during periods of reduced visibility in northern and eastern India, Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR said in a press release.
Cancellation:
Train No. 15903 (Dibrugarh–Chandigarh) Express will remain cancelled from December 1, 2025 to February 27, 2026, while its return direction, Train No. 15904 (Chandigarh–Dibrugarh) Express will remain cancelled from December 3, 2025 to March 1, 2026. Train No. 15620 (Kamakhya–Gaya) Express will remain cancelled from December 1, 2025 to February 23, 2026 and Train No. 15619 (Gaya-Kamakhya) Express will remain cancelled from December 2, 2025 to February 24, 2026.
Similarly, Train No. 15621 (Kamakhya–Anand Vihar Terminal) Express will remain cancelled from December 4, 2025 to February 26, 2026 and its return direction, Train No. 15622 (Anand Vihar Terminal–Kamakhya) Express will remain cancelled from December 5, 2025 to February 27, 2026.
Frequency reduction of train services:
Train no. 12505 (Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Terminal) North East Express will remain cancelled on every Wednesday & Sunday from December 3, 2025 to February 25, 2026. Similarly, train no 12506 (Anand Vihar Terminal-Kamakhya) North East Express will remain cancelled on every Friday & Tuesday from December 5, 2025 to February 27, 2026.
Train no. 15483 (Alipurduar-Delhi) Sikkim Mahananda Express will remain cancelled on every Wednesday & Saturday from December 23, 2025 to February 28, 2026. Similarly, train no. 15484 (Delhi-Alipurduar) Sikkim Mahananda Express will remain cancelled on every Friday & Monday from December 5, 2025 to February 27, 2026.
Train no. 12523 (New Jalpaiguri-New Delhi) Express will remain cancelled on every Tuesday from December 2, 2025 to February 24, 2026. Similarly, train no. 12524 (New Delhi-New Jalpaiguri) Express will remain cancelled on every Wednesday from December 3, 2025 to February 25, 2026.
Train no. 15909 (Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Jn.) Avadh Assam Express will remain cancelled on every Saturday from December 6, 2025 to February 28, 2026. Similarly, train no. 15910 (Lalgarh Jn.-Dibrugarh) Avadh Assam Express will remain cancelled on every Tuesday from December 9, 2025 to March 3, 2026.
The details of cancellations and reduced frequency of these trains are available at IRCTC website and through NTES and are also being notified in social media platforms of NF Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
