Maligaon, August 24 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has cancelled, rescheduled and regulated several train services as restoration work continues near New Harangajao station following settlement of railway tracks on Line-1 and Line-2.
Train operations over the Lumding-Badarpur Hill section are being maintained through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures, NFR said on Monday.
In view of the ongoing restoration work, NFR announced the following changes in train services:
Cancelled trains: Train No. 15615 Guwahati-Silchar Express, scheduled to commence its journey on August 25, has been cancelled. Train No. 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express, scheduled to commence its journey on August 26, has been cancelled.
Rescheduled trains: Train No. 15650 Narangi-Agartala Express, scheduled to commence its journey on August 25, will depart from Narangi at 6.30 pm instead of its scheduled time. Train No. 15628 Silchar-Coimbatore Express, scheduled to commence its journey on August 25, will depart from Silchar at 10.10 pm.
Regulated train: Train No. 15625 Deoghar-Agartala Express, commencing its journey on August 24, will be regulated suitably en route.
NFR said restoration work near New Harangajao is continuing and train operations are being managed through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures.
