NNC slams Kiumikam’s statement

Dimapur, May 1 (MExN): The NNC has slammed the statement given by “Mr Kiumikam newly form party” published on April 28, accusing the present leadership of general secretary V Nagi and working president gen. retd I Panger Walling saying that the March 29 meeting was a “shunning trick, that all members of NNC was not called”.
The NNC in a rejoinder issued by one of its officials of information and publicity wing, Perry Hau stated that the meeting was announced well ahead of due date. The meeting was even published in all local dailies.
“There was never and ever any confusion and misunderstanding among the members. We have personally made phone call to Kiumukam as well, asking him to attend the meeting but on the contrary, he told us that he will not be able to attend the said meeting rather he said he would agree to whatever resolution that the house have taken. Accordingly the meeting was carried out and on the same day Kiumukam and some other members were suspended and later expelled and terminated from National Service by the house with a majority of not less than one fourth and not less than two third member of the house due to their misused of NNC General Fund,” the NNC clarified in the note.
Justifying its stand, the NNC further stated: “On examining his leadership and his pres statement 28 April saying the 29th March meeting was conducted with “butcher” invited. Whereas all responsible regions Executive and CEC members all attended the meeting and there was not one “Butchers” attended the said meeting our question here goes. Is he a capable responsible, reliable leader to have given such a press statement? In the name of God, do not ever give such false statement again in the future. Regarding his spelling out of ‘YEHZABO’ (constitution) Art. 22, 28, 37 it all says about impeachment and Removal of president.”
Also in another press note the NNC has stated that ‘Kiumukam and his friend’ who have violated the Yezhzabo (constitution) of NNC and were expelled from National Service were now trying to form a new NNC group.
The note issued by Perry Hau, information and publicity wing, NNC stated: “This ignorant people talking about reformation of NNC and supporting FNR where as we NNC on the other hand remain working hard as before to achieve our national goal. So talking about reformation etc were baseless. Because we understand and there is full understanding and cooperation within its members.”
The press note also stated that ‘Kiumkam and his friend’ knows nothing about Naga politics, whereas since 1982/83 NNC present leadership general secretary president has worked very hard for bringing peace at homeland. “It was sole effort of our leadership V. Nagi and others that today we could sign an agreement of peace milestone achievement between the Naga Political groups.” NNC also stated that it being the mother body of the Naga politics, is being faced with many hurdles and hardship but were weathering its way till date and all time there is full understanding among the members if any we solve the problem within our self.
The NNC also said that ‘Kiumkam and his friends’ who were now trying to find a new NNC group is becoming a big blockage towards our peace process. It is a foolish act of them to have rather such a policy of dividing the Nagas. When Nagas were on reconciliation process we condemned such antinational act, division and separation. Every responsible and peace loving Naga citizens do not expect such a dividing policy at this very crucial time of Nagas peace process whose policy and intention is to create division and misunderstanding among Nagas.
