The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) will be conducting an Open Trial Selection for Belt & Mas Wrestling on September 19 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Hall ‘B,’ Kohima from 8:30 AM onwards.
The selection is open for all non-NWA affiliating units/tribes.
Two wrestlers will be selected for each category and the selected wrestlers will represent Nagaland state team at the 12th AITWPF National Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Championship 2024, which is scheduled to be held from October 3 to 6 at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
The programme will be led Mitwatei Haibwang, vice president NWA while NWA president Vivolie Kezo will deliver presidential note.
Technical briefing will be made by Vekhriyi Chuzho , Technical Secretary NWA.
All wrestlers should come on unit wise during the measurement session.
Weight category shall be strictly enforced on the spot, according to NWA.
