‘Opening of NPF Manipur unit a move step forward’

Imphal, May 31 (NNN): The Manipur unit of Naga People's Front (NPF) has said that in spite of the huge obstacle and confusion in the state capital Imphal on May 28 in the form of the 13-hour general strike and the cabinet stand to oppose the opening of NPF in Manipur, it had “moved a step forward”.
Meanwhile, S Kho John who is the general secretary of Manipur unit NPF on behalf of his party expressed gratitude to Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio, NPF chief Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu, T.R Zeliang who is in charge of Manipur unit of NPF, Nagaland cabinet ministers, MLAs and central NPF functionaries for attending the launching ceremony of the party’s Manipur unit on May 28 at Senapati headquarters.
The Manipur unit of NPF also thanks the Naga delegates from all the hill districts and to the people of Senapati-Karong area cutting across party lines who warmly welcome “our dignitaries in our land.” It also thanks the volunteers who had rendered their valuable services, and people who gave prayer and moral supports in making the programme a success “in spite of the many hurdles.” The NPF then said it was the Almighty at the end of the day without whose help no one can do anything.
