Organizations condemn rape of minor girl

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): The Nagaland Law Students Federation (NLSF) strongly condemns “the barbaric and uncivilized incident” that took place on May 13, 2011 where an innocent minor girl of 14 years and a student of class-IX was abducted, raped and murdered by unknown miscreants. Viewing the seriousness of crime involved against the innocent and defenseless victim who was not only raped, but was merciless murdered, the federation said that the act is not only a threat to Naga society as whole, but particularly to the women community. The federation strongly appeals to the investigating agency to seriously probe into this case, arrest the culprit at the earliest, and award them with befitting punishment with appropriate sections of law. The federation firmly appeals to the concerned authority to thoroughly investigate into this matter and further said that there is a strong possibility that the culprit would not hesitate to take the advantage of committing the same heinous crime.
