Kohima, April 17(MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) is shocked to learn that some miscreants claiming themselves to be from FGN (Peace camper) attempted to rob at gun point at Directorate of Health & Family Welfare on April 8. Such instance of harassment by anti-social element being meted out to almost every department is not a healthy sign of civilized society.
A denouncing note issued by its president Ponchulo Wanth and general secretary L.Asang Ozüküm stated the Association wonders that if the culprits are really from peace camper, they should stand for peace and harmony of the people and should not resort to extreme step of threat and intimidation as they only aggravate the present volatile situation. It added that the National Workers should develop a sense of patriotism and should to do only those assignments which are assigned to them for the cause of nation. While condemning such uncivilized and unlawful behavior of so called- the national worker, the Association requested the concerned authority to arrest the culprits promptly so that the same may not recur in the near future.
Association of PHED Engineers
In the wake of the recent threat by armed miscreants in the Directorate of Medical and Health Services, the Association of PHED Engineers, Nagaland has condemned the act.
The association’s general secretary, I Moa Longchar on behalf of the association, while condemning the act urge the government to take stringent and effective measures against such threats which are very much prevalent in our state. The Association has extended support towards the affected department and the Department’s demand doe identification and apprehension of the miscreants.
