Dimapur, June 5 (MExN): Parliamentary secretary for RD & REPA Nagaland Pangyu Phom visited the District Hospital Longleng on June 4. His wife, the Deputy Commissioner of Longleng, a host of government officials and public leaders, accompanied him.
During his visit, the parliamentary secretary and his wife visited the indoor patients and gave them cash donations. He also donated a large quantity of life saving drugs to the hospital for free distribution to the poor patients of the district, informed a press note issued by DC of Longleng, CK Nihekhu Sema.
The note mentioned that he also held a brief meeting with the medical superintendent, officials and staff of the hospital. In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner expressed his gratitude to the visiting VIP for his personal concern shown to the basic needs of the district and urged upon the hospital for judicious use of the medicines. The medical superintendent shared the various problems faced by the department and presented the basic requirements of immediate need.
The parliamentary secretary, in his speech, called upon the doctors, nurses and all the staff of the hospital to perform their duties sincerely and that they should be available at any time/hour. He also shared his concern to the prevailing problems and assured to look into the grievances while also calling on the medical officers and staff, officers of the district and public leaders to extend cooperation for achieving the basic requirements of the hospital, the note said.
