Tuli, June 8 (MExN): As part of its ongoing Women Empowerment Livelihood Program, the Community Educational Centre Society (CECS), supported by the  Azim Premji Foundation, organized a hands-on training session in piggery management for 20 women beneficiaries at The Naga Farm on June 5.

The training, held under the theme “Hands-on Learning in Piggery Management,” brought together five women each from Asangma and Kangtsung villages, and ten from Tuli. The visit aimed to equip participants with practical skills in sustainable livestock rearing and piggery practices, contributing to the broader goal of strengthening rural livelihoods.

Subonenba Longkumer, Proprietor of The Naga Farm, and  Zimik Tamreichan, Farm Manager, facilitated the session. Through live demonstrations and interactive discussions, the participants were trained in essential aspects of piggery management such as farm hygiene, feeding techniques, and business-focused animal husbandry.
“This initiative is part of our vision to build resilient communities by empowering women with practical livelihood skills,” a CECS representative said.
