Dimapur, December 11 (MExN): Meghalaya today scored an emphatic victory over Nagaland by defeating the latter by 110 runs, with a day to spare in their first Ranji Trophy Plate Group match at the Nagaland Cricket Association Stadium, Sovima.
Resuming their overnight score of 89/9 on Day-III, Meghalaya were bowled out for 142 runs in 48.1 overs.
In reply, however, Nagaland batting line-up faltered in their second innings as they were bowled out for mere 181 runs in 62 overs, eventually losing the match by 110 runs, with a day to spare.
The only silver lining for Nagaland was the robust bowling performance of Imliwati with a match haul of 13 wickets - 7 in first innings and 6 in second.
Nagaland will play Manipur next in Kolkata from December 17-20.
