Councils on Chozuba road
Dimapur, May 2 (MExN): Village councils of Chozuba and Khusomi, Phek have refuted doubts cast over a road in Chozuba by civil leaders. A note from the village councils of the two villages today sought to clarify on the matter. The councils of Chozuba and Khusomi informed today that an emergency meeting was held on May 2.
“The villagers do not bother about the official formalities nor is it their responsibility so far official matters are concerned and, hence, the question of hookwinking the ignorant villagers to the advantage of someone does not arise,” the councils claimed.
The councils stated that the former leaders of the organizations who raised their voice on the matter “have no hand in this matter and, hence, it has been presumed that there might be some vested interest with selfish motive for personal gain behind this.” The councils said they have “resolved to bring the culprit/s to book sooner or later.” The two councils have also thanked parliamentary secretary Chotisuh Sazo and a number of others “under whose endeavor the project could be materialized.”
‘We fully back the project and as such, the contractors are requested to carry out the ongoing work which is in full swing without any hesitation,” the councils added. The note was appended by Khrinyo Luruo of VCC Chozuba village and Mudolhu Mudeo of VCC Khusomi village.
