NNC elects Keviche as vice president

Dimapur, May 14 (MExN):
The NNC under the leadership of Dr. Senka, president, ‘gen. retd.’ I .Panger, Working President and V. Nagi, general secretary has announced that Keviche Kintso from Angami Region has been elected to the post of NNC vice president.
“…the NNC has unanimously elected Khehoto Zhimo as senior National worker from Sumi Region to look after the Region for the best interest of Sumi Region in particular and the NNC in general. The NNC will announce further about the Rongmai Region, Rengma Region, Poumai Region and other Regions from Tuensang etc. for the best interest of the NNC and the Naga people to work in a better and prosperous way for Freedom of the Nagas. The NNC will announce all the different Regions in due course of time in the Naga National interest as the Parent Body of the Nagas (sic),” stated a press note from Yevishe Sumi, information and publicity wing, NNC.
The note also stated that the NNC would work better and harder for “Naga Reconciliation and unity in the Naga Homeland as the NNC stood for from the inception of Naga division till date as the Parent Body of the Nagas (sic)”.

WASA flays ‘killing’ of former wrestler

Dimapur, May 14 (MExN):
The Western Angami Sports Association has expressed its resentment over the gruesome killing to one of its former wrestler late Vilietuo Pier of Khonoma village by a "criminal near Thekrejuma village on May 7". While condemning the killing in the highest term, the WASA also urge the concern authority to book the criminal and give befitting punishment. The WASA also prayed to God to give eternal peace to the departed soul, stated a press note issued by the associations’ wrestling secretary and information publicity secretary.

Mkg ATMA to organize photography training

Mokokchung, May 14 (MExN):
The Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Mokokchung, is organizing a two day training on ‘Photography and Farm journalism for extension functionaries’ on May 19 and 20 at District Agriculture Officer (DAO) Conference Room, Mokokchung. A press note from the Jt Director of Agriculture & PD ATMA, Mokokchung, informed that the resource person for photography and journalism will be Diman Sharma, AV Specialist, Dept of Extension Education and Gautam Bordoloi, PRO, AAU, Jorhat. The training will include both theory and practical classes, the release informed. The Jt Director of Agriculture & PD ATMA, Mokokchung, has invited all the media persons based in Mokokchung to attend the workshop.
