Air India flight timing for today

DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN):
Station Manager of Air India Ltd Dimapur has informed that in view of change of schedule AI9702/ for June 1 expected time of departure from Dimapur is revised 1405 hrs instead of 1420 hrs for DMU/CCU. Therefore, all joining passenger of AI9702/ 1 June for DMU/CCU are requested to report for check-in at Dimapur airport at 1235 hrs.

NSF condemns life attempt on Imtila Jamir

DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN):
The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) in the strongest term condemned the life attempt on Imtila Jamir, Rtd ARCS Nagaland on May 27 by one Worshim Tagkhul. NSF in a condemnation note has called upon the Nagas to take the matter seriously and stand united to moot out such inhuman and uncivilized acts from Naga society once and for all. “The Naga society has no place for such barbarian or barbaric acts, therefore the NSF has urged the law enforcing agency to booked the culprit at the earliest and award exemplary and befitting punishment as per the law,” the note further added.

Tening youth decry Power dept’s apathy

DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN):
Tening Town Youth Organisation (TTYO) under Peren district has decried the step-motherly treatment of the Power Department under whose apathetic attitude the people of the area are made to endure perpetual power cuts under any weather conditions.  In a letter to the Chief Engineer, Department of Power, Youth president Maizinlakbo has questioned the department over non-functioning of the new 33 KV transformer which was installed three years ago at Tening town. It has asked to make public of the area know the reason whether there was technical problem or interference of certain individual for the delay.  The Youth Organisaton has also questioned the department for non-deployment of staff who were transferred from the area in the last two - three years. It claimed that 21 villages including two major towns have been managed by a lone trained personnel. To relieve the lone trained personnel and in the interest of the public, the Youth Organisation has appealed the department to create a post of linemen at the earliest.  The Organisation has also resented that not a single complete development could be seen in the area since the formation of Tening town for the last 47 years.

CTC notifies on prohibition of business

DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN):
The Chumukedima Town Council has issued an order in continuation to its earlier notification in regard to prohibition of business by petty vendors (vegetables/fish/chana pakora etc) within the jurisdiction of CTC reserved land along the stretch of National Highway and collection of illegal tax by land owners/unions. CTC Chief Advisor Thepfuhloutuo Shuya has once again reminded to all concerned that inspite of restrain order; some are still violating the order. Therefore, it is once again reminded to all vendors, land owners and unions to desist from all such act with immediate effect from the date of issue of this notice. “Violator (s) will be strictly dealt with as per provision of appropriate law,” the notification further added.
