
FGN discharges one for “taxes”
Dimapur, June 2 (MExN): The FGN informs to have terminated from ‘service’ a cadre accused on collecting so-stated “taxes” in Kohima town. A note from the FGN today said one Kesosieo Angami has been impersonating as “tatar” of the Angami region and has been collecting “taxes/revenues” in Kohima town in the name of the FGN. Due to his “irreparable conduct”, he was discharged from “national service” on February 4, a note from the group’s “rali wali” secretary G Zhimomi stated. Anyone found dealing with the said person in “matters of financial transactions” would be at own risk, the note said and has asked Angami to “appear and apologize the government or face serious consequences.”
‘IM capt’ joins GPRN/NSCN
Dimapur, June 2 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has informed that ‘capt.’ Choroh Mao, a dedicated military officer in the “IM set up belonging to Shepoumaramth Region”, has joined GPRN/NSCN in order to strengthen Naga reconciliation process led by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation. “He observed that GPRN/NSCN duly shares the dream and vision of millions of Nagas who seeks pragmatic approach by first initiating reconciling among the Naga brothers prior to starting political dialogue with the GOI. He harbours no ill will against anyone at Hebron camp and clarified that his decision to join GPRN/NSCN was to rededicate himself to the National cause with greater purpose,” stated a press note issued by MIP, GPRN/NSCN.
Tagore prize distribution ceremony
DIMAPUR, JUNE 2 (MExN): The prize distribution ceremony of the 'Festival of Arts' will be held on June 4, 2011 at State Academy Hall, Kohima with director Art & Culture K. Kughazhe Yeputhomi as the Chief Guest. The two-day festival held earlier on May 27 & 28, 2011 at NEZCC Dimapur to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore will draw to a close with the prize distribution ceremony on the 4th.
