One killed

Dimapur, May 9 (MExN):
A hit and run incident happened near Delai Gate on May 7 at mid-night, where a truck bearing Regd NO AS-25C-3177 killed his own handyman , one Sahied Khan, 19 years of age. The driver of the truck escaped after the incident, informed the Petroleum & Land Transport Workers’ Federation of India (PLTWFI)  Dimapur Unit’s president Akheto Achumi.In this connection, the PLTWFI Assam Unit alongwith Hq president Nungsang Ao delivered the body to the PLTWFI Dimapur unit from Delai Police Station. Also on the same day, the PLTWFI handed over the body to Manipur state.

Razhuphe celebrates court victory

Dimapur, May 9 (MExN):
Industrial village Razhuphe in Dimapur had a feast in celebration of having won a case in court allowing the village’s council to issue land deeds within its jurisdiction.  The “bara khana” (grand feast) was held to mark “our extreme happiness”, according to a note from the head GB of the village.  The GB, TL Angami, gave an account of the village’s history and issues related to the court case. “And for which nefarious illegal activities done against village council of Industrial village Razhuphe by the present deputy commissioner by violation of all those public documents, which were attained earlier by the Razhuphe  Village Council in support of their village according to law of land,” the GB stated.  The village had no alternative but to approach the court, the GB stated. “I on my behalf and on behalf of the Razhuphe Village Council convey our extreme happiness and gratitude to you all for your kind participation in this bhara khana with us,” he added.

Thevomia Society flays

Dimapur, May 9 (MExN):
The Thevomia Society P Khel Viswema village, Kohima has condemned the act of one Ngaku Chang  and his accomplice one Avizo Richa on attempting to murder Thinuonicha Metha on April 21. The note issued by the caretaker of Thevomia Society House, Lower Chandmari, Kohima stated that Ngaku Chang is a tenant of the Thevomia Society House and that the crime took place in front of the house, which was unfortunate and regretted. The society would like to notify to the public that Ngaku with his family have been evicted from the building. It has also appealed the authority concerned to impose exemplary punishment against the duo.
