DIMAPUR, APRIL 17 (MExN): The construction works of 2-lane Dhansiri Bridge between Shozukhu and Zukihe villages which was held up due to obstruction caused by 11 KV Power Lines passing through the construction site has not been resumed despite of relocation of the power lines as demanded by the construction company, stated a press note received here.
Time and again the construction works of the said bridge has been stopped due to various reasons and this time too, even after the company’s grievance was addressed, the work has not resumed. The Khaghaboto Kukami Kuqhakulu (KKK) has taken a serious note over the non-resumption of construction work. The KKK Chairman, Jacob Zhimomi has said that M/s PABSCON Company is taking the people of Khaghaboto area for granted and indirectly harassing the people by delaying the work.
KKK Chairman who physically visited the construction site has alleged that the company is “intentionally holding up the work for reasons best known to them as there is no reason whatsoever for the work to be held up.” There is ample time before onset of monsoon season to execute the work but instead the company is moving the construction materials from the construction site, Jacob said. KKK has demanded that the work be resumed immediately which otherwise the KKK and public of Khaghaboto area would take up its course of action to seek justice and the company would be held sole responsible for any untoward incident arising out of it.
