SDSA not satisfied with quality of work over NH 39

Dimapur, May 14 (MExN): Expressing strong concern and dismay over quality of works executed in the “on-going black carpeting of NH-39”, the Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA) has demanded the State Government to deal the matter urgently. It will continue to fight vigorously to improve the lifeline of the State. After series of spot inspection by the SDSA, it is shocking to witness with many potholes and cracks already appearing even after less than 2(two) months of the works completed.
In a press note issued by its general secretary LR John stated: “Making it loud and clear to the State Government, concerned Minister, concerned Department, Contractors and workers, the SDSA will not spare any irregularities or lack of quality but react accordingly. Repeated appraisals and appeals in the local papers were published in the past for effective implementation of the NH-39 development funds. But snail pace of works and poor quality has damaged the reputation of the much anticipated “finally developed & improved NH-39.”
The SDSA also mentioned that till date, the works as recorded in the on-going works:- (1) Many areas of NH-39 still remain unattended (2)the on-going works are too slow that, the coming monsoon will disrupt the whole works, thus worsening even the already  competed works in some areas. Here, the works between Maram and Senapati manifested a poor quality of works and many areas between Maram and Mao remained tattered and deplorable for the General Public of Manipur. It is disheartening to learn that, the concerned Engineers and Department agreed with the type of works already completed.
