‘Station approved by ECI'

Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): A GB of Industrial Village in Dimapur today claimed that the “correction” of polling station 11 and 12 under 2-Dimapur-II assembly constituency was “notified by the government” and approved by the Election Commission of India. It “pertains to the area” and not to the “erstwhile DC court area alone.”
The councils of Hill View, Aokong, Industrial Estate, Oriental, Lengrijan and Duncan Basti were accused of preventing and assaulting people who came for the EPIC photography. According to a note from head GB of Industrial village TL Angami, the colonies have their own separate polling stations in their own areas except in Hill View colony and Industrial Estate. The GB went so far as to claim that the two mentioned colonies are “situated inside” Industrial village and the colonies only want to grab land, the GB claimed.
The district administration has miserably failed to take any action to clear the protestors and have allowed them to take over the booths for two consecutive days, the GB stated, and added this situation is beyond “comprehensible limit.” The GB hopes that the administration would not “succumb” to such ‘angelic enticement” but ensure that the law would take its own course. The demand of the protestors will never be accepted, the note added.
