KIPHIRE, DECEMBER 30 (MExN): Seyochung Village witnessed a successful cultural programme on Tuesday as part of the 64th Triennial Session of the Seyochung Village Students’ Union, supported by Eduversity.

The event, held at Seyochung, saw the participation of T. Chorise Anar as the Cultural Guest. In his keynote address, Shri Thsioli, Executive Chairman of the Union, expressed gratitude to the guest and well-wishers for their presence, noting their commitment to the Union and the village’s rich culture.

Daniel Sechopi, President of Seyochung Village Union, urged students to build trust through their actions and emphasised the importance of being willing to change when mistakes are recognised.

Speaking on the occasion, T. Thinglise, Vice President of the United Sangtam Students’ Conference, encouraged students to prioritise self-confidence and cultivate a positive attitude towards life.

Cultural Guest Azii T Chorise Anar appealed to the community to actively preserve their traditions without relying on external help. He stressed the need to sustain traditional agriculture, crafts, and handcrafts. On behalf of the Zithsingkyü lineage, he also announced plans to construct a watchtower in the village.

Meanwhile, Longtili C. Sangtam, President of the Seyochung Village Students’ Union, reported that at least 171 students received free study materials for the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) examinations from the Eduversity stall. He thanked the Village Council, Church, and various Seyochung Village Union bodies from Kiphire, Kohima, Seyochung Town, and Dimapur for their support and contributions.
