Dimapur, May 10 (MExN): The Bazaar ward in Kiphire town has expressed dissatisfaction over not releasing funds by the Urban Development authority for.
The pending funds are urban development fund for the year 2009-2010 and 2010-2011, Grants-in-aid and town protection fund for the same period for the town.
The president of Bazaar ward president in a press note recieved here today stated that the whole town is reeling under pathetic condition without proper civic amenities like drainage, dustbin etc due to non-release of funds.
The note also stated that the supplies under PDS (BBL/AAY) are issued only once a year, which is not more than 40 quintals for each ward in Kiphire town.
The ward has demanded the concerned authority to clarify as to why the development funds are not being released, when all the funds are sanction by the state government each year and also the supplies for every month, stated the press note.
