The trainers encouraged participants to view skill development as a pathway towards self-reliance, steady income and greater control over their future. The programme also sought to create awareness about opportunities for women from the Northeast to build careers in the organised beauty and wellness sector.
According to the organisers, selected candidates will undergo screening and orientation before travelling to Bengaluru for the two-month training programme, following which they can begin their professional careers.
