AR launches off cycle expedition from Mkg

The Mokokchung Battalion of the Assam Rifles flagged off a cycle expedition on March 16.
 

MOKOKCHUNG, MARCH 16 (MExN): The Mokokchung Battalion of the Assam Rifles flagged off a four day long cycle expedition on March 16 to spread the message of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.’


The cycle expedition team comprises of 20 cyclists including volunteers from Mokokchung and Zunheboto Districts who will cover a distance of 215 Kms from Mokokchung to Kaziranga over the next four days. The expedition was flagged off by 23 Assam Rifles Commandant Raj Kumar.


Besides being an initiative to foster the spirit of adventure and motivate the youth to join Indian Army, the expedition also aims to spread awareness about the following issues: Wild Life Conservation, Drug Abuse and Trafficking, HIV and AIDS, Fit India Movement, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and Avoidance of Single Use Plastics.
