DHS Mon conducts training on Non Communicable Disease

Mon, March 28 (MExN): The district level training on Non Communicable Disease (NCD) under National Programme for Prevention and Control of diabetes, Cardio Vascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS) was held at the conference hall of District Hospital, Mon on March 28.

A press release received here stated that Dr Supongmenla Walling, Chief Medical Officer, Mon, addressing the participants said, “The District Health Society, Mon has been undergoing rigorous trainings one after the other, but none has been less important because we are in a profession that helps and serves the people.” 

She asserted that it is essential for health personnel to stay updated and reorient themselves. 

“Today's training is also one of the vital programs under the department which is the NCD and so she requested everyone to pay attention,” Dr Walling added.

Nodal officer, Dr Aonungdok Toshi Ao, Dy CMO led the one on one introductory session. He requested all the participants to listen intently and learn whatever is been taught and ask any questions they may have rather than carrying any doubts with them. 

Dr Alemwabang Aier SPO NP (National Programme)-NCD and Thejathrietuo Suokhrie DEO NP-NCD took over the training which covers topics such as - introduction of NP-NCD; foundation of NP-NCD; NCD app/portal continuum of care; Population Based Screeningstrategy discussion; Screening of hypertension/Diabetes/Oral/Breast/Cervical; CHO, ANM and Asha's app; MO portal; NCD portal mapping and issue disclosure and action; district dash board; Review on District status/ queries on district dashboard and way forward. 

The training was attended by the CMO, Dy CMO, Medical Officers, Block Programme Managers, DCM and the Nurses.
