MOKOKCHUNG, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The 19th Imchaba Master Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Tournament 2026 will be held from September 22 to 25 at the Multi Sports Complex, Mokokchung, with a total prize money of Rs 2.20 lakh.
The tournament, organised by the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association (MDVA), will offer Rs 1 lakh to the champion, Rs 70,000 to the runner-up, Rs 30,000 to the third-placed team and Rs 20,000 to the fourth-placed team. Individual awards carrying Rs 5,000 each will also be presented for Best Spiker, Best Setter, Player of the Tournament and Emerging Player.
According to the organisers, teams that do not reach the semifinals will receive a participation grant of Rs 5,000 each. Teams travelling from outside Mokokchung will also be eligible for a travel allowance of up to Rs 5,000. Registration forms will be issued from September 1, with September 16 set as the last date for submission. The draw of fixtures will be held on September 19.
A maximum of 16 teams will be allowed to register, with entries accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will be conducted through Google Forms. The organising committee has invited volleyball teams and sports enthusiasts to participate in and support the memorial tournament, which it said continues the legacy of promoting volleyball in Nagaland.
