Kohima, September 20 (MExN): The Kohima District Basketball Association (KDBA) has officially announced the selected players for the upcoming Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026, which are scheduled to begin on November 2.
The final player roster was finalized during an executive meeting held on September 20 at the residence of KDBA President Khrielasakuo Keretsü. Prior to the selection, the association hosted open basketball selection trials for both men and women on September 19 at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima.
In his message, KDBA President Khrielasakuo Keretsü noted that the incredible turnout and high level of talent made the selection process exceptionally difficult for the coaching panel. While congratulating the selected athletes, he encouraged those who did not make the squad to view basketball as a sport of continuous growth and to keep working on their skills.
The finalized squads and waiting lists, signed by KDBA President Khrielasakuo Keretsü and Secretary Thejanguzo Pienyü, are as follows:
Men’s Team Roster
• Selected Players: Keneitseizo Belho, Sharman Lama, Kevisevor Belho, Kevilelhou Dzüvichü, Kezevituo Suokhrie, Salew Kadete, Keneizelhou Kevin Tale, Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü, Sedeneituo Kuotsu, Kevisotuo Pienyü, Thejangulie Mekro, and Thejazo Gary Rutsa.
• Waiting List: Kethoselie Yashü and Menuosielie Chielie.
Women’s Team Roster
• Selected Players: Imtilela Walling, Hukholü Resüh, Thejangunuo Resüh, Pelekhonuo Kuotsu, Thsulenla, Nisino Nakhro, Lika Aye, Lukingailiu Angelina Gangmei, Rüütuonuo Janice, Kekhluzhonu Khiyho, Yimtimenla, and Kosü Domeh.
• Waiting List: Medosevino Nagi.
The KDBA noted that the waiting list remains valid for 48 hours. If no replacements are made within this period, the players listed from serial numbers 1 to 12 will be officially confirmed as the final roster.
