Participants of Latent Explosion 2025 on September 29.

Kohima, September 30 (MExN): The Baptist Higher Secondary School, Tseminyu in collaboration with Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) Tseminyu organised Latent Explosion 2025 under the theme “My Culture” at the school premises on September 29.

The event was marked by vibrant showcase of tradition, creativity, and youthful talent.

Latent Explosion 2025 sought to inspire students to value their roots while expressing themselves through music and art.

Competitions such as folk song, folk dance, war cry, folk tale narration, painting and traditional fire making reflected the richness of indigenous practices.

A highlight of the event was the special appearance of elderly men from the community, who performed traditional folk songs.

Their presence brought authenticity to the theme and served as a bridge between generations, reminding the youth of the living wisdom embedded in oral traditions and cultural expressions.

Alongside the cultural competitions, the stage also came alive with band performances, dances, and songs, giving space for modern artistic expressions to stand alongside traditional ones.

By blending heritage with youthful energy, Latent Explosion 2025 stood as a testament to the importance of preserving cultural identity while encouraging students to explore their talents.

The event echoed the essence of its theme, “My Culture”, by reminding all present that culture is not just to be remembered, but to be lived and passed on.
