Mizoram Youth Team beat HQ 5 Sect. AR Chesema by 4 goals

Kohima| November 19  : Mizoram Youth Team pulled off a brilliant recovery against HQ 5 Sect. AR Chesema in the second pre-quarter final match of the Royal Cup in kohima.  After conceding a goal in the first half, the young Mizo team came out fighting in the second half and turned the tide in their favour by scoring five goals. Lalruatfela (2) of Mizoram scored four clinical goals in the space of five minutes early in the second half and became the second player to score a hat-trick in this edition of the tournament.
The young team from Mizoram started the match well and created the first few chances of the match early in the first half. Edenthara (7) made the first real attempt of the match in the 3rd minute when he connected well from a cross sent in by Zosangliana (8) from the right flank. But his shot went over the goal. Striker Lalruatfela’s shot in the 9th minute was well saved by the HQ keeper, Sudhan. But after the 20th minute, Assam Rifles had greater possession of the ball and started to control the match. The young Mizo team struggled to settle down and allowed HQ 5 to score the opening goal through Daimary (9) in the 38th minute.  
Mizoram produced a fantastic display as soon as the second half started and levelled the score in the 55th minute when Lalruatfela scored the first goal for his team.  Two minutes later, he made a good run from the right and scored his second goal. His hat-trick goal came three minutes later when he made another run into the box from the left and put the ball into the opposition’s net.  Mizoram continued to attack relentlessly and they were rewarded for their efforts when Lalruatfela scored his fourth goal from a corner shot sent in by V. Lalchuanawma (14) in the 78th minute.  Assam Rifles looked out of sorts and were unable to construct any meaningful attack.  A fast break by the Mizo team in the 85th minute allowed Ramengmawia  (10) to score the fifth goal for his team.
