Kiphire, March 3 (MExN): Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland conducted a Specialist Health Camp-cum-Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative under the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels programme at Zisaji Presidency College (ZPC), Kiphire, on March 3.
The programme included an awareness session, a sanitation drive and a specialist health camp.
Addressing the awareness session on the topic, “Importance of Oral Health Education,” Dr Zioba Anar highlighted the link between oral health and overall well-being.
He cautioned against tobacco consumption, noting its health risks and financial burden, and urged students to adopt healthier lifestyles.
During the programme, Longtili C Sangtam, Project Lead, Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland, presented the foundation’s achievements for February 2026.
He informed that 24 villages were covered, 103 Mobile OPD services conducted, 1,732 beneficiaries reached, 399 lab tests carried out and eight referrals made.
One sanitation drive and one awareness drive were also undertaken during the month.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the Vice Principal of ZPC expressed gratitude to the Foundation for extending free health services to the district and acknowledged the materials distributed during the programme. Materials were distributed by the Branch Manager of SBI Kiphire.
Meanwhile, the second session featured a sanitation drive conducted under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative to promote cleanliness and community responsibility.
The third session comprised a specialist health camp focusing on anaemia screening among young adults, during which at least 24 students were screened.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to extend healthcare services and promote sanitation awareness in remote areas of the district, the Foundation stated.
