The Nagaland Football Association (NFA) Media & District Affairs Committee held its first committee
meeting at the NFA office, Kohima on September 25 under the chairmanship of Chenonlo Woch, Joint Secretary, NFA.
Mention may be made that the Committee, consisting of nine members, was constituted by the NFA in March 2026 among other committees to advice, support, and assist the NFA Executive Committee in managing, developing, and governing specific operational areas of Nagaland football, Woch said in a statement following the meeting.
During the meet, members deliberated general matters of the Committee including role and scope of the committee, NFA media rights, branding and other related matters, management of its media matters, coordination with district football associations and their affairs, management, engagement of media teams and media personnel, among other matters. The meeting also delineated the roles and responsibilities of the Committee in tournaments and events; and also delegated responsibilities among its members for better functioning of the committee.
The supervisory and regulatory roles for the upcoming Dr T Ao Trophy were also discussed.
Key decisions taken at the meeting included finalization of broadcasting partner, digital partners and other related matters for the Dr T Ao (Inter-District Football Championship) 2026 scheduled to be held in Mokokchung between October 13-31, 2026.
