NSFA athletes impress in mas-wrestling at World Nomad Games

Dimapur, September 6 (MExN): Athletes from the Nagaland Strongman and Fitness Association (NSFA) delivered a commendable performance while representing India at the prestigious 6th World Nomad Games 2026, held in Kyrgyzstan.

Marking their debut on the international stage following their official affiliation with the India Mas-Wrestling Federation, the four-member athletic contingent secured notable rankings for the country across various competitive categories.

In the women’s 55kg mas-wrestling division, Vekhonielu Curha produced an impressive display to secure 6th place. In the men’s events, Kekhriesetuo Mechülho finished 11th in the 90kg category, while Rukukhoto Khesoh secured the 17th rank in the 90+kg division.

The contingent was led by NSFA Publicity Secretary Vizovolie Rame, who accompanied the squad as the team manager.

In a statement, the NSFA expressed its profound gratitude to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for fully sponsoring the team’s historic participation. The association also extended its heartfelt appreciation to the India Mas-Wrestling Federation, the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland, and all well-wishers for their unwavering support throughout the campaign.
