Officers’ Hill Colony Kohima gets Iron Water Treatment Plant, Children’s Library

Two assets have been added to the Officers’ Hill Colony, Kohima on October 8 with the inauguration of an iron water treatment plant and children & adolescent’s library at Government Middle School (GMS), Officers’ Hill Kohima.

The new facilities have been dedicated by Rev Sentisashi Aier, Senior Pastor, Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo (KABA).

Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Ward 10 Councillor Kevinei-ü Sekhose inaugurated the water treatment plant. She thanked the community leaders for their efforts in making the project a success and expressed hope that the plant would benefit residents. She also urged the school authorities to use the facility well and maintain it properly.

Officers' Hill Colony Council (OHCC), Chairman Khrielakuo Sekhose inaugurated the children and adolescent’s library. He described the library as a valuable resource for young people and urged students to use well its purpose. He thanked the department of Art & Culture for the construction of the library, dedicated towards the children and adolescents. Sekhose thanked Nagaland’s Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen for his contribution towards the provision of the iron water treatment plant for colony residents. He also thanked the PHED for doing the necessary layouts and installations.

The programme was led by Kezhalezo Solo, President, Officers’ Hill Youth Organisation (OHYO) while vote of thanks was proposed by Shepo Dzudo.
