The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Central Youth Wing, in collaboration with the Chümoukedima NPF Youth Wing Division, organised the state-level grand finale of the “One Nagaland Run-5K” under the slogan “Running Together, Growing Together” at the Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence, Sovima, in Chümoukedima district on August 22.
The grand finale witnessed participation from 200 athletes in the open category, comprising men and women.
Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Nagaland and Chairman of the Investments & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), attended the event as the special guest.
The NPF Central Youth Wing congratulated all the winners and appreciated the participants for their performance, enthusiasm and sporting spirit.
It said the successful completion of the One Nagaland Run-5K across the state reflected the role of sports in bringing people together, promoting healthy living and inspiring youth towards a more active and united Nagaland.
