The Nagaland National Pension System Government Service Employees Forum (NNPSGSEF) held its State Convention at State Academy Hall, Kohima on February 28.
The Convention witnessed productive discourse and concluded smoothly with participants pledging their unity to the Forum’s objective of ‘Scrap NPS/UPS, Restore OPS, according to NNPSGSEF.
The convention was graced by Achuytananda Hazarika, Convener, North East Government Employees Welfare Federation (NEGEWF), as the Special Attendee.
The Convention received strong messages of solidarity and support from various Associations, including the CANSSEA, NCSA and FONSESA. Representatives from other service association also attended the program.
The Advisors of NNPSGSEF also addressed the gathering, exhorting members to remain disciplined, informed, and resolute as they move forward collectively.
The session culminated in the adoption of three key resolutions, led by President of NNPSGSEF Avizo Nienu, reaffirming the Forum’s commitment to safeguarding the interests and future security of government employees under the National Pension System.
The resolution stated that all NPS members shall remain firmly united, both physically and financially, in advancing the objectives of the Forum.
This unity shall demonstrate collective strength; reflect our shared responsibility, mutual trust and unwavering commitment to our common cause, the resolution stated.
If any office bearer of this movement faces service-related consequences/ challenges arising from their role in the Forum, all NPS members shall stand in unequivocal solidarity and extend full moral, organizational and lawful support to safeguard their rights and dignity, the resolution stated.
All NPS employees shall reaffirm steadfast commitment to pursue the Forum’s legitimate demands with firmness, discipline and lawful determination, and shall persist in the collective efforts until the Forum’s demands are duly and justly addressed by the Competent Authority(s), it stated.
