The Wokha Table Tennis Association (WTTA) conducted a one-day open trial at Town Hall, Wokha, on October 2 to select players for the 29th Inter-District & State Table Tennis Championship 2026 and the Nagaland State & Para Games (NSPG) 2026.

The trial was conducted in the men’s open category, with four players selected based on their performances. David Hinglak secured the first position, followed by Menvolie in second, Chumbenthung Khuvung in third and Medovito in fourth.

The selected players will represent Wokha district at the upcoming state-level competitions.

The trial also provided local players with an opportunity to gain competitive exposure and encouraged wider participation in table tennis in the district.

In another development, the WTTA will observe its Silver Jubilee in December this year. As part of the celebrations, the association will organise the Wokha Open Table Tennis Championship from December 16 to 18 at Wokha.

The championship will form part of the association’s 25th anniversary celebrations and aims to mark its contribution to the promotion and development of table tennis in Wokha and Nagaland.

Preparations for the Silver Jubilee celebrations and the championship are currently underway.
