Manipur police, in its ongoing intensified crackdown on vehicle lifters, arrested one more alleged lifter and recovered three four-wheelers and one two-wheeler on Sunday.
The arrested alleged vehicle lifter was identified as Sawmlian of Churachandpur district. He was also allegedly involved in making fake RC (Registration Certificate) and re-registration of stolen vehicles.
A Tata Xenon, one Renault Duster, a Gypsy and one Honda Activa were recovered from his possession, the police said. A team of Bishnupur district police arrested him from his house today. Earlier, the police had raided his house and recovered various incriminating items like PVC cards, laptop, printer, lamination machine etc.
