KOHIMA, JUNE 6 (MExN): In view of the reported environmental hazard caused by the solid waste disposal in the upstream of Doyang Dam Reservoir, the Chief Secretary and Chairman, State Executive Committee of State Disaster Management Authority has directed the Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority Wokha and Head Of Plant (HOP) North Eastern Electric Power Cooperation Limited (NEEPCO) at Doyang for preliminary report to be submitted on June 7 at 10 AM. The Chief Secretary and Chairman, State Executive Committee has also convened an emergency meeting for coordinated response to undertake specific prevention and mitigation measures by the threatening environmental hazard situation caused by the improper disposal of solid garbage at the upstream of the Doyang Dam Reservoir.
