Mokokchung, June 27 (MExN): A new clothes and footwear store “Attire – The Haute Couture” selling branded goods was inaugurated at the Mokokchung Shopping Complex cum Parking Lot by the Mokokchung Municipal Council Corodinator, N Bendang here today. The new shop promises to be “a multi-brand showroom that deals in lifestyle products ranging from formals, casuals, inner wear, footwear and accessories both for ladies and gents.
The proprietor of the Attire – The Haute Couture, W Moa disclosed that the idea behind the showroom was initiated keeping in mind the needs of the local citizenry, and therefore brings various international brands to the door steps for the shoppers at ‘competitive price’.
Saying that the store aims to serve everyone’s needs according to the occasion/season, W Moa said that he has future plans of expanding the store into a bigger one including kid section, import section which could not be accommodated at the moment due to want of space. Nonetheless, he further maintained that by opening such showrooms, the purpose of the shopping complex will also be served vis-a- vis catering to the markets of not only Mokokchung alone but also for the neighboring districts.
Meanwhile, the MMC Coordinator, N Bendang while inaugurating the Attire- The Haute Couture, appreciated the efforts of the proprietor and hoped that the showroom would serve the interests of the people. He also pointed out that after the 2007 ‘revolution’ (the anti-mian campaign Survival 2007) there is a huge increase in the number of local entrepreneurs in the district, and expressed deep happiness over the local populace taking to self employment, and serving the needs of the society.
Pastor Bendang offered the dedicatory prayers before the inaugurating. Friends, family members and well wishers attended the programme. It may be mentioned that W Moa is a young up-coming entrepreneur in Mokokchung town; he is also one of the senior-most journalists in Mokokchung having been attached with a respectable local daily for the past many years.
