KOHIMA, JUNE 2 (MExN): YouthNet, in partnership with Asian Paints, launched the Basic Plumbing Course on May 28 at the YouthNet Head Office in Kohima. This three-day training program is designed to provide specialized plumbing skills to the youth of Nagaland while also enhancing the proficiency of existing plumbers in the region, a press release issue by the media cell informed. 

Razouvikhol Luho, Nodal Officer & Project Manager, YouthNet highlighted that this initiative represents a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between YouthNet and Asian Paints. Since 2018, their partnership has focused on construction painting training under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative "Color Academy" by Asian Paints. 

This year, the program has been expanded to include plumbing training, reflecting a shared commitment to comprehensive skill development and youth empowerment in Nagaland. He also revealed that YouthNet, in collaboration with Asian Paints CSR, plans to establish a dedicated training center in Nagaland. 

The Basic Plumbing Course offers participants thorough training, emphasizing practical skills and industry knowledge essential for a successful career in plumbing. The program caters to both new entrants and existing plumbers, ensuring they meet current industry standards.

Future sessions for plumbing and painting training are scheduled to be held in the Chümoukedima and Dimapur districts. These programs are structured to provide practical, hands-on experience, enabling participants to acquire valuable skills that support sustainable livelihoods.
