Kohima, May 27 (MExN): The Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) officially launched its new team jersey during a programme held at Mez & Co Sports Arena, Below Medical College, P Khel, Kohima on May 27.
The programme was graced by MLA of 57th A/C Thonoknyu and General Secretary of the Nagaland Football Association (NFA), Benei M Lamthiu, as the guest. Lamthiu officially unveiled the jersey and addressed the gathering.
The programme was chaired by NASA General Secretary Viliebeizo Liezietsu and began with an invocation by Assistant Wrestling Secretary of NASA, Ruokuohelie Vipfhe. NASA president Neikeso Zumu delivered the keynote address.
In his speech, Lamthiu commended NASA’s efforts in promoting sports among Angami youth and said the new jersey reflected both identity and ambition. He further urged the association to keep its flag flying high with pride.
NASA advisor Vizosielie Khoubve, executives and well-wishers attended the launch programme.
According to the organisers, the jersey will make its first appearance in an exhibition match against NAYO during the 3rd Kohima District Futsal Championship 2026.
